It is published by LPPM Universitas Nias Raya with a biannual publication schedule in March and September.

Peer Review Process
Journal of Informatics is committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity in the peer review process. This journal follows a rigorous peer review process involving both internal and external reviewers.

  • Initial Editorial Review. The editor will review the manuscript submitted by the author(s) to assess its suitability with the journal's scope and adherence to the journal's template. During this stage, the editor will communicate with the author(s) to determine whether the manuscript is eligible for further review or rejection.
  • External Review. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial review will be sent to at least two external reviewers who are experts in the field.
  • Review Criteria. The review process evaluates manuscripts based on the following criteria: Novelty, Objectivity, Methodology, Scientific impact, Conclusions, References.
  • Reviewer Recommendations. Reviewers provide constructive feedback, suggest improvements, and offer recommendations to accept or reject the manuscript.
  • Editorial Decision. The handling editor will consider the comments and recommendations from the reviewers when making the final decision regarding the manuscript. The final decision on whether to accept or reject the manuscript is made by the editor, taking into account the reviewers' input.
  • Editor's Decision. The editor's decision to accept, invite resubmission with revisions, or reject the manuscript is final. This concludes the peer review process. Accepted manuscripts will be sent for copyediting and publication. Manuscripts that are rejected may be resubmitted after substantial revision, but will go through the peer review process again.

History of The Journal
The Journal of Informatics was established in 2021, with its ISSN issued on December 21, 2021, and the inaugural edition published as Volume 1, Issue 1 in March 2022. Since its founding, the journal has grown into a key platform for publishing research in the field of informatics.
