PERAN PERAWAT DALAM PENERAPAN DAN PENECEGAHAN KESALAHAN OBAT DI RUMAH SAKIT
Abstract
Nurses have a special role and responsibility when administering medication, as they are often the last person to ensure that the medication has been prescribed and received correctly before it is given to the patient (Hanson & Haddad, 2023). Thus, nurses are the ones most at risk of making mistakes in administering medication to patients. This study aims to provide an overview of the importance of the role of nurses in preventing drug safety and efforts that can be made by nurses in preventing drug administration errors in hospitals The method used in this writing is literature review. The search for articles was carried out through Google Scholar and Garuda Portal with the keywords "Medication errors", "Prevention", "Nurses", "Hospitals". The total article findings were 1001, but only 4 articles fit the research criteria. In each study, the importance of the role of nurses in the implementation and prevention of medication errors that may occur in hospitals was explained.
