Abstract
Mount Galunggung is a habitat for various types of flora, some of which are edible species. This study aims to identify the edible plant species found in the Mount Galunggung area, conducted from November 7 to April 26, 2024. The research used a data collection method known as VES (Visual Encounter Survey), with observation stations located at Station 1 Curug Gadobangkong, Station 2 Curug Panoongan Cipanas Galunggung, and Station 3 Curug Cimedang. A 2 km tracking route was conducted at each station. The environmental parameters observed include elevation, temperature, humidity, light intensity, and wind speed. The results showed that 17 edible plant species were identified, belonging to 13 families and 16 genera, distributed across the three observation stations. At Station 1 (Curug Gadobangkong), 12 species were found; at Station 2 (Curug Panoongan), 12 species; and at Station 3 (Curug Cimedang), 13 species. The total number of individuals found across all species was 1,214, with the highest number of individuals being 300 for Oxalis sp., and the least found species being Anacardium occidentale L.References
