THE IMPACT OF EMPLOYEE TRAINING: A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to present a conceptual framework of employee training. Design/methodology/approach – Based on a review of existing literature, this study presents a conceptual framework that explain the impact of employee training (ET) on employee performance (EP), employee creativity (EC) and organizational commitment (OC). Findings – Based on several reviewed literature and theory, there are three propositions that this study proposes: 1) There is a positive relationship between ET and EP, 2) there is a positive relationship between ET and EC, 3) there is a positive relationship between ET and OC. Practical implications – The present findings show that training is a valuable technique for employees and organizations as a whole.
